First race for the Winter Series was on Sunday. It
was a beautiful day in Ft. Morgan, Colorado for racing.
On the second lap of Dominic's hot laps he lost a drive shaft. After being
pushed into the pits the crew looked for the needed parts only to find out that
they didn't have it. They tried several different options none that worked.
Terry Martinez made several runs around the pits checking with other crews for
the needed part finally finding a universal joint that worked. After running the
part back to the car Terry and Brian Prochaska put it into the car and Dominic
was able to enter the track as the last car prior to the green flag. The motor
ran well and Dominic improved his position from last place avoiding several
accidents starting 25th and finishing 11th without any additional problems.
Dominic's confidence level has obviously improved as his driving time increases.
