The heat race was not a good start to the night for Dominic
as he was knocked out on the third lap when the lead car spun, stacking up the
field.
Having to race your way into the show through the B main is
never a fun task especially having to start in the back. The 6u started in the
last row but quickly made his way through the field. By the time the white flag
flew Dom had made it up to the third position and held that spot to secure a
spot in the 50 lap feature.
The re-draw put Ursetta on the outside of the fourth row (8th) for the start of
the longest race of the season thus far at I-76 Speedway. The car showed signs
of being very competitive from the first lap on as Dom quickly moved up to the
fourth spot right behind teammate Eddie Belec Jr. By the mid-race point the 6u
had climbed to the second spot once again right behind his teammate. After a
caution on lap 33, Dom pulled to the outside of the 3b going into turn three and
was able to complete the huge pass for the lead coming out of turn two the
following lap. It was clear sailing from then on for Ursetta as he led the
remaining fifteen laps to capture the big win. The win was his second straight
at Fort Morgan, 4th straight 50/100 lap draw victory and sixth straight top
ten finish.
