Even with starting in the back of his heat race, Dom knew he had to make quick work to get up to that all important third position to qualify him for the re-draw and feature event. That's just what the 6u did coming from the ninth spot to finish second in a very impressive charge towards the front.

The good times kept rolling when Ursetta was able to draw a number two, putting him on the outside of the front row for the feature. It didn't take long for him to take the lead as he was able to clear the 9r of Robby Haines coming out of turn four on the first lap. Showing more strength and poise, Ursetta was able to jump out to a comfortable lead and hold off the 30 of Jordan Grabouski on numerous restarts. With about six laps to go, a hard charging David Murray took the lead and Grabouski would follow with two laps to go. At the checkered flag it was Murray, Grabouski and Ursetta. A very stout third place finish for the already four time winner in 2009.
