The Fall Nationals in Beatrice, Nebraska was a cold and wet battle and the weather would eventually cancel the second day of racing but the first night was as fast as ever. Dom started from outside of the front row in the heat race and ran clean to come across the line third at the end. That would line him up again on the outside of the front row for the qualifier. The fifteen lap qualifiers would determine the rest of the field for the feature and only the top four cars would transfer. Dom quickly dropped back to that all important fourth spot but fought hard and battled his way back up to the second spot at the finish.
   
    Starting sixteenth is not easy at any race track but especially one in which was very wet, rough and hard to pass. Battling an ill handling race car, Dom ran close to the top ten most of the race but pulled off near the end and ended up finishing fourteenth
