Without having any hot laps, Dominic started in the fourth
spot in the heat race. Quickly moving up to second, the 6u set his sights on the
737 of Nick Tubbs. An ill-handling race car backed Dom up to a fourth place
finish, but none the less a spot in the re-draw for the feature.
Holding that fourth spot and a shot at the re-draw proved to
be a huge factor for Ursetta as he drew the number four pill putting him in
great position. Three failed attempts to get the race started because of
cautions going into the first turn was in some way a blessing for Dom as his
right rear axle cap came off and forced him to pit. Fortunately enough it was
under caution and he was able to rejoin at the rear of the field still on the
lead lap. The downside was that he had to start the race eighteenth instead of
fourth. A race track that was very hard to get a hold of proved to be a
challenge but Ursetta was able to power his Taylor Modified up to a tenth place
finish at the checkered flag marking down his fifth straight finish inside the
top ten.
