Starting in the back of the heat race always puts drivers to the test with having to quickly move up and stay out of trouble in only eight laps of racing. That seemed to get the best of the 6u Taylor Modified as a wreck in front of him couldn't be missed and front end damage and a DNF was the result.

    Ursetta would have to come from the ninth spot in the b main to at least third in order to get in the feature and that's just what he did. Making quick work of most of the cars Dom was able to finish second and secure a spot in main event.

    The feature started with the 6u in the nineteenth spot and Ursetta quickly went to work. Passing cars anyway possible only to be involved in many of the incidents causing him to restart in the rear of the field each time. When the race finally got into a steady pace, Dom showed why he has won four races already this year by passing twelve cars and powering his DC Racing Engine Modified to the seventh spot at the finish. A very hard-fought finish for the trouble the team had throughout the day.
